Tui Na is a form of Chinese manipulation therapy often used in conjunction with acupuncture moxibostion, cupping, herbal medicine, T’ai Chi and Chi Gong. It is a hand on body treatment whose purpose is to bring Chi into harmony. The principles and techniques of Tui Na follow the eight principles of TCM. The practitioner may brush, knead, roll, press and rub the area to resynchronize the flow of Chi, achieve a higher state of relaxation and healing. Tui Na also serves to activiate Qi and Blood, clearing the channels, boosting metabolism, enhancing body resistance and improving local blood circulation.
